The gameplay seemed to mix old-school arcade shooters with modern bullet hell titles.While Red Death does offer gameplay like that, it's incredibly shallow. Enemy design is limited, bullet patterns are predictable, the framerate drops to a chug every few seconds, the music is dull and listless, and there are only three levels. It took me about 20 minutes to get to the end of this game.And the worst part? The writing, oddly enough, as you'd think the writing in an arcade shooter shouldn't matter. But as the game attempts at presenting a narrative throughout the levels there's nothing you can do to skip the spelling errors, grammatical errors, egregiously unnecessary profanity, and stupid story. Does Lovecraft really need to be shoved into everything? No.For $0.50 I guess I can't complain too much, but if I found this in a real arcade, I'd pop my two quarters in once and never come back to it.. Play Downwell, much better. 2\/10. While as far as graphics and a few pattern designs goes Red death does a decent job.... it over all feels lackluster, like it's empty. For it's price it may be a good buy though, but not a good game in general.. This game is amazing for the price! Great bullet hell and even 1 hour is worth the price!. learn the patternok game... It's cheap, but as a result, really short.Graphics look nice and the music is allright, hitboxes are well made and enemies\/bullets are easy to distinguish from the background. The game overall is pretty easy, as long as you literally hold on to your weapons with your life.Arcade mode can toss a few curveballs at you, depending on what (potentially overlapping) patterns you get.. I want to rip my face off playing this. Play Downwell, much better. 2\/10. very good game remember the arcade style and it's very fast to download and fast to decorate the controls , there are just 2 problems , and the 1st problem is that anything you do , if your spaceships number ends you can't revive , like i went too far in a level and i died too many times ( ended all your ships ) you can't revive to back to this part of the game , another problem is that you can't remove the music and put just the shots sounds , or you mute or you play with the music and sounds of the shots and other things , but very nice game i would give it a 7\/10 .
